Everyman Racing Passes the Chequered Flag!

Paul and I are only now recovering from what was a fantastic "Jolly" with Everyman Racing on their Ultimate Track Day. What a day! It definitely qualifies as JollyTastic!

We spent Friday with the superb Everyman Racing team at Prestwold Hall near Loughborough, and we drove some of the finest supercars available. To be precise, we drove a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Porsche Cayman, a Ferrari 360 and an Aston Martin DB9. We also drove preparation laps in a Subaru and for fun we drove a class N rally VW Polo!

After the sign in and safety briefing, we were driven around the circuit in the Subaru by one of the excellent instructors. We then drove the Subaru ourselves so that we were familiarised with the track. It was then straight into the supercars. We were superbly guided through the driving idiosyncrasies of each car and then around the circuit for three laps. This was repeated in the afternoon.

All of the instructors had their own style, but none of them were there to spoil our fun. On the contrary, they gave great instruction and encouragement to drive the cars as fast as we could..... safely!

The organisation was first class and all of the paying guests were made to feel very welcome. Even the poor guy who spun the Ferrari off the track and about 30' into the rape field was not given a hard time! The Everyman Team just called for a replacement Ferrari, which arrived within minutes and the fun continued.

With only eight drivers, there was very little waiting between drives. During this time free refreshments were served to anyone who wanted them. We were give a lovely buffet lunch and at the end of the day there were prizes (and booby prizes!) for the drivers who had impressed the instructors in one way or another!

If you want to experience this really enjoyable, adrenaline filled day, and why wouldn't you, contact Everyman Racing at http://www.everymanracing.co.uk/ OR win an Ultimate Track Day on http://www.sportingjollies.com/

See what I have to put up with?! Getting excited about Air Combat USA and Everyman

Really? My oppo is just so lame, and I have to apologise!

Firstly, the new prize that we will be offering next month on sportingjollies.com and wotball.com IS AWESOME! Come on Paul, get excited!

Sorry! I must calm down, but really! Don't take my word for it, just check it out on the Air Combat USA site.
Secondly, about the hat thing. I was looking to find Paul something to wear that doesn't come out of one of those country gentleman's catalogues for our Friday foray onto the racing track, but just couldn't find any accessories to go with his beige corduroys and stalking jacket. God only knows what everyone will think. If I looked pasty today it was the thought of pitching up at the Everyman Racing Ultimate Track Day with man from Horse and Hound!

Anyway, the excitement builds as we approach the day that we burn rubber in Leicestershire. I can't wait.............!

A Day at Pippit Gaming - Cutting the mustard!

It's now the end of another arduous but exciting day at Pippit Gaming.

First the good news is that we've found a great new prize which we'll be running this summer. Provided by Air Combat USA it's for those of you that like an aerial speed thrill - a live air combat experience.
We still putting together the details, but basically you get to fly to the USA, stay in Las Vegas and then spend a day at Air Combat USA. The jolly is that you get to fly at up to 6G in military pilot trainers and dogfight with other planes using "live" laser weapons! Unbelievable fun & we'll let you know more when we have finalised everything.

Now the not so good news. Will is clearly looking a bit pasty today. Perhaps it was watching the air combat videos that made him feel a bit giddy. I have another theory though as it's now T-3 three days to go until our Everyman Racing track day. He's getting worried and it's starting to show. Still, he's trying to be brave - he was online earlier looking at buying a lamborghini hat! Now that is brave - let's hope & I'll post the picture if he wears it!

Barwell Leisure Holidays for Winner, but sorry, dogs not allowed!

April Competition prize winner Tracey Corbett has now finished negotiating with Barwell Leisure on how to best spend her £5,000 prize fund, maximising her holiday experiences this year!

Tracey and partner "Baggy" (don't ask) will be spending one week in 5* luxury in Dubai in July. They will stay at the Le Royal Meridien Hotel. They will then will take another luxurious week in September/October travelling to Mauritius where they will stay at the fabulous Belle Mare Plage hotel.
"Its an amazing feeling knowing that you've won such a fantastic prize! I've always been someone who has a little flutter every now and then for a bit of excitement but never really played many games or scrathcards - now I'm a winner of £5,000.

I'm going to play more and more with pippit gaming as I know now that you've got to be in it to win it.

I can't thank Pippit gaming enough.

Play it and win like me"

The only thing that Barwell Leisure couldn't accomodate was the attendance of Frankie the pooch. Aaaaahhhhh!

Prize Provider Quality Control - Everyman Racing

Paul "the Stig" Ernst and I will be carrying out "quality control" at one of the Pippit Gaming prize providers, Everyman Racing next week.

There was so much argument between the two of us over who should have to travel all the way to Loughborough in order to drive Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins etc etc around the Prestwold Hall racing circuit in Leicestershire, that it was decided that we should both go.

The Everyman Racing Ultimate Track Day experience is just one of the instant win prizes on the Pippit Gaming Spot the Ball competition websites, http://www.sportingjollies.com/ and http://www.wotball.com/ .

"It's a tough job, but someone has to do it!" explains Paul, who it has to be said is not renowned for speed in any forum.

Indeed, I am so concerned that Paul will get us there quickly enough, I have arranged for us to travel up the night before and stay close by. I certainly don't expect to have any problems keeping ahead on the day, that's for sure!

We will log a full report after the event.
